STRIKER Jake Young bagged six goals as Guiseley Academy powered through to an away tie with Blackpool in the next round of the FA Youth Cup with a 13-0 win over Ossett United at Nethermoor.

Guiseley were depleted by injuries but they were still far too good for a gallant Ossett side and they opened the scoring early on when Lewis Collett slid the ball across the keeper into the net.

Young wasted two good chances before seeing a good effort ruled out for off-side but he eventually opened his account on 23 minutes with a cool finish.

He then converted a brilliant cross from Adam Haw for 3-0 before a well-worked move playing out from the back ended with Charlie Heath making it four.

A lovely turn by Young saw him go through on goal and despite a valiant effort by Ossett 'keeper Jamie White, he blasted home for 5-0. He then netted his fourth just before the break for the hosts to go in 6-0 up.

Guiseley increased their lead to seven early in the second half when Adam Haw climbed highest to head home.

Mustapha Coker and Akram Aliyu replacing Collett and Heath on the hour and they each went on to net a brace.

Coker added the eighth and ninth and Aliyu finishing off a mazy run by Young for 10-0 before heading the final goal in the third minute of added time.

In between, Young took his tally to six with a header following a great team move and then lobbing the keeper as he came out to challenge.

Dave Currie's youngsters now travel to Blackpool, a very successful side in this competition over the last couple of seasons, in the week commencing October 29.
