SCIENTOTS got off to a flying start at Westville House School last week with the beginning of a six week course in Crazy Colour Chemistry – especially for two to four-year-olds.

Dressed in mini white lab coats and protected with goggles, the children learnt how plants change colour with different liquids. They were totally absorbed by their experiments and took great delight in recalling their experiences to parents. Run by Bev Bexton, a qualified teacher who runs Scientots, the next six weeks promises to provide lots of excitement for the children. With sessions planned including chromatography, plant chemistry and rainbows the children will be able to take part in practical experiments to give them a real love of science at an early age. Scientots at Westville is open to any child aged between two and four years of age. Sessions cost £5 and places are limited so if you would like your child to take part call the school on 01943 608053 or email hub@westvillehouseschool.co.uk.
