A MEMBER of staff from Specsavers in Ilkley has raised hundreds of pounds to help people with sight loss.

Sherree Dickenson joined colleagues from across the country in a skydive for the Royal National Institute of Blind People.

This year, which marks the RNIB’s 150th anniversary, the charity and Specsavers are urging Britain’s ageing workforce to keep on top of eye health.

Sherree said: “Skydiving is something that’s always been on my bucket list, so when the opportunity with Specsavers came up, it seemed like a natural fit to raise money for this amazing charity. We all take our sight for granted so imagine just for a moment what it might be like to not have your vision in the blink of an eye.”

So far she has raised more than £750 to support people with sight loss and help enable them to face the future with confidence.

The fundraising event took place at Langar Airfield in Nottingham in September. To sponsor Sherree visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sherree-dickenson

Specsavers joined forces with RNIB in 2016 to raise awareness of the importance of eye tests.
