ILKLEY Blues Festival takes place on Saturday.

It runs from 2pm at the Clarke Foley Centre with tickets available online at Eventbrite or on the door for £15 with children under 14 free. The running order is: 2pm Tipitina; 2:55pm Dori and the Outlaws; 4:10pm Benjamin Bassford; 5:15pm George Shovlin and the Radars; 6:35pm Swampgrass; 7:50pm Dr Bob and the Bluesmakers and 9:10pm Tom Killner Band.

Co-organiser Charles Oxtoby said: “We’re really pleased this year to have plenty of female artists, in fact four of the seven acts have a female singer. The festival also features blues veteran and highly regarded George Shovlin, who just over a week ago played at the Orkney Blues Festival and will surely entertain the crowd with his alternative slant on traditional blues. Dori and the Outlaws will provide some Americana/country blues whilst up and coming band Swampgrass, from Glastonbury, will infuse some swing and funk grooves to the day. “Ilkley is represented by Dr Bob and the Bluesmakers combining original material with their own versions of other peoples songs, including a tribute to Aretha Franklin.”
