MILITARY busts featuring animal heads and ‘anatomically correct’ chocolate hearts are among the many odd things about to go on sale in Otley.

The Bizarre Bazaar gift shop opens on Market Street on Friday, October 12 and owner Richard Cordwell is promising visitors a memorable experience.

He said: “We have lots of things on sale that aren’t really available anywhere else and are a little bit quirky - everything from animals in formal attire to wrought iron pig door stoppers, gourmet chocolate pizza slices and a range of amazing pop-up cards.

“We’ve got all kinds of unusual things really including a range of funny signs - and today we received a couple of mounted zebra heads.”

Mr Cordwell admits the anatomical chocolate hearts are not for the faint-hearted, but expects them to do well over Hallowe’en.

The shop opens at 10am on Friday and will be trading until 4pm.
