AROUND 150 people from the same company will be taking on Yorkshire’s three peaks to raise money for Mind.

Staff from medical software company Emis Health will travel from around the country to tackle the challenge with colleagues from the firm’s Yeadon head office.

The walk will take place on September 29, and participants have already raised more than £8,600 towards their £10,000 total.

The company has chosen Mind as its nominated charity for this year and it is aiming to raise a total of £100,000 for the charity.

Events so far have included charity shop challenges, with volunteers working in Mind stores for the day, and a climbing wall event where staff climbed the height of Everest, raising more than £7,000 which was then matched by the company.

They are aiming to complete the three peaks challenge in eight to ten hours - with one team planning to get round in half the time by running the route.

Staff have also staged a ‘wear your walking boots to work’ day and a fundraising social event.

Earlier this year an eight-strong team from the head office raised £850 for Mind by taking part in a boot camp.
