BRADFORD City Women end their season tomorrow, as they welcome Leicester City in the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division.

The Foxes are flying high in second, looking to protect that position with a result, while the Bantams eye up seventh place in what is essentially a dead rubber.

However, winger Arianne Parnham is already looking beyond tomorrow's clash and believes a win would put the team in good stead heading into next year.

“It will be key that everyone wants to try and beat Leicester and end the season on a high,” she said.

“We’ve had some good results this year and to get another would be a good way to reflect on it, as well as giving us a good starter to go into next season.”

City already go into this fixture riding momentum, after beating local rivals Guiseley last Thursday to avenge defeat to the same opponents in the County Cup final eight days prior.

Parnham, named player of the match in that 3-0 victory, was especially pleased to play a part in that result after ineligibility forced her to watch the loss the week before from the sidelines.

“It felt good to be able to make the contribution because I was gutted I couldn’t play in the final,” she said.

“To beat Guiseley was really important because as a team we had a point to prove to everyone and show that we were capable of beating them.

“But also, it was important for the team morale. That was a bit low after losing the week before and it’s good that we were able to lift it again.”

Bradford will hope those high spirits can make a positive impact tomorrow afternoon, with a 2pm kick-off at Bradford University in the team’s final fixture of the season.
