THE BELLS of Otley Parish Church will ring out in double celebration this weekend.
All Saints Bellringers will be in action on Saturday, May 19 to mark both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding and the 2018 Otley Show.
The group will also be attempting a musical challenge, as Tower Captain Meg Morton explained.
She said: "We will be attempting to ring a quarter-peal - a composition of 1,260 changes that takes about 45 minutes to complete, on six of the eight bells.
"This is a small feat of endurance and requires a great deal of concentration!"
Referring to the Royal Wedding, she added: "We will be joining ringers all over the UK in celebrating this happy event."
The bellringers will also be holding a fundraising stall at Otley Buttercross on Saturday, May 26, when they will be selling home baking and plants.
Proceeds will go to the group's tower maintenance fund.
