ILKLEY Carnival has announced Anytime Fitness Ilkley will be the parade sponsor of the 2018 TV themed May Day event.

On May 7 visitors will be able to take part in the Total Wipeout inspired Anytime Fitness Ultimate Combat Assault Course which will be run by Anytime Fitness Ilkley staff members and includes an inflatable slide and climbing wall. The 24-hour gym opened in September 2017, offering personal trainer sessions and a range of fitness classes.

Anytime Fitness Ilkley will also be handing out free day passes, water bottles and other gym accessories on the day alongside riding on the VIP bus with the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Abid Hussain.

Zoe Denney, sales manager at Anytime Fitness Ilkley, said: “Local residents look forward to the carnival each year and we’ve heard a lot about it from our members so were keen to get involved. We are delighted to be this year’s parade sponsor and are looking forward to seeing who can get around our assault course the quickest!”

Andrew Stacey, Ilkley Carnival chairman, said: “The carnival loves to support local business so working with a new opening is a great opportunity for us and Anytime Fitness. We are really looking forward to getting active with Anytime Fitness and we may even have a few future athletes in the mix on carnival day!”
