A NEW path has been built in Nunroyd Park to help bowlers get to their club.
Guiseley and Rawdon councillor Graham Latty stepped in to organise the creation of the path after an appeal from the public.
He said: "Some while ago I was approached by the committee of the Bowling Club in Nunroyd Park to see what could be done about the access to their club from Queensway. There was no footpath only the grass of the park and for a lot of their members this presented a problem.
"I managed to get some Section 106 money ( developers contributions to green space) and Parks have used that to put in a new pathway so there is now a dry, secure access suitable even for pushchairs and wheelchairs."
