AN elderly man has suffered a "serious" head injury after being knocked down by a Ford Transit van in Menston.
Police are appealing for information about the incident which occurred while the man was crossing Main Street, near to the junction with Cleasby Road at around 10.10am on Friday, December 8.
The van had travelled from Cleasby Road and had turned right onto Main Street just prior to the incident.
The injured man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance.
He is still in hospital and is in a stable condition.
Anyone who saw the collision or the van or pedestrian before the collision is asked to contact PC Cheryl Moore at the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Unit on 101 referencing police log 545 of December 8.
