SUMMER celebrations at the Manor House in Ilkley will mark a successful campaign to bring the building into community use.
Entertainment for all ages will be staged both inside and outside the historical building on Sunday, August 6 with music, song, dance and story.
Bringing comedy and song will be Penny Plain Theatre Company from Grassington, with their performance of Hardcastle’s Amazing Human Vegetable Machine, providing fun throughout the afternoon.
A one hour concert from 3pm to 4pm in the upstairs gallery has another addition in the shape of the duo Gordon Tyrrall and Geoff Bowen, joined by musician Robin Shepherd to complete
the Magnetic North trio. Robin Shepherd is not only a musician but a lively clog
dancer, and will appear with Geoff Bowen who accompanies him on fiddle during the courtyard afternoon programme.
The afternoon entertainment, from1pm to 4pm is free except for the concert. Tickets for the concert cost £5 or £3 for full time students, and can be reserved by phoning Liz Bowen on 01943 609393.
