WEST Bowling almost made their decision to bowl first count in the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's H Broadbent Trophy.

Cambing were struggling at 51-6 before an unbroken partnership for the seventh wicket between Fahim Jan (80no) and Naqash Mirza (72no) helped them to 215-6.

Usman Ali Ahmed took 4-51 for West Bowling, who were all out for 116 in 34.4 overs when they replied.

Cambing will meet Bradford Moor, who beat Great Horton Meths by eight wickets after dismissing them for 77, in the second round.

Also through to the quarter-finals are Bowling Baptists, who defeated Hallfield by two wickets.

Hallfield posted 178-2, before Baptists replied with 179-8 (Mohammed Bilal Nazir 48). Baptists now face last year's runners-up Salem Athletic at home.

Salem beat Greenfield by 39 runs after being dismissed for 184 (Abid ur Rehman 83). Greenfield replied with 145 (Taimoor Qureshi 42, Rab Nawaaz 5-18).

Allerton, who easily saw off Muff Field B despite the efforts of Karl Burkinshaw, will next face holders Bradford Gymkhana.

Zahid Bashir's 56 not out helped to propel Allerton to 218, Burkinshaw taking 6-67 before making 53 in Muff Field B's 100 (Gurpreet Romana 4-29).

Gymkhana beat Yorkshire LPS by six wickets after dismissing them for 116.

Girlington were never in danger of losing to Mayfield after making 259-6 (Quyyum Khan Nasir 118, Waqar Khalil 62). Mayfield scored 143-9 after the interval, with Imran Yousaf scoring 55 and Shazad Ashraf 43.

Girlington will now meet rivals Great Horton Church, who had a comfortable win over Central YMCA.

Church made good use of winning the toss, hitting 340-9 (Hassan Malik 102rtd, Hamza Mujtaba 52rtd) and YMCA were then dismissed for 50 (Saad Shafique 4-10).
