ON A day when rain washed out most matches in the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League, Bradford Moor cut Interlink's lead at the top of Group A to three points after a winning draw against Apperley Bridge.

This was the only game in the top flight to start, although it was reduced to 30 overs per side.

Moor made 139-9, with Ahmed Hussain scoring 38 from 41 balls and Sohail Akram 18 off 27.

Salman Khawaja and Sohail Ahmed each took three wickets for Bridge, who were 23-6 but ended up on 98-9, with Ahmed hitting an unbeaten 43 off 62 balls.

He was supported by Mohammed Khalid (25 off 41 balls) as Mohammed Naeem bagged three wickets for Moor.

In Group B, Yorkshire Friends have jumped into third place after beating Hallfield by seven wickets in the only game started and completed in the division.

Hallfield elected to bat in a rain-affected game that was reduced to 25 overs per side but were bowled out for just 38 in 18.5 overs, with Shiraz Ahmed taking 4-11.

In reply, Friends scored 40-3 in 9.4 overs.

In Group C, Denholme Clough have extended their lead to 40 points after beating TABS by four runs.

Clough were bowled out for just 61, with Nadeem Ahmed taking 6-8 backed up by Palwinder Kumar's three wickets.

TABS then went close, making 57 as Adil Hanif and Mohammed Zubair each took three wickets.

Great Horton Methodists B conceded their Group D game against Greenfield as they were unable to raise a team.

Unfortunately for Greenfield, no other games started in the division due to the bad weather, so they were unable to claim the full points as per league rule 12b.
