HOLDERS Girlington have been comprehensively beaten in the second round of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's Sir James Roberts Cup.

They were dismissed for 79 by Bradford Moor YCA, who replied with 83-2.

Moor are now at Mayfield in the quarter-finals, with the latter defeating Bradford Indians by seven wickets.

Indians made 111-8, Mayfield making 112-3.

Much tighter was the clash between Salem Athletic and Yorkshire LPS, who lost by six runs.

Salem decided to bat but only totalled 97, of which Mohammed Siraj scored 50.

Bhavin D Patel took 4-11 for LPS, but Athletic had their own ace in S Faisal, who took 6-28.

Salem will now face TABS, who beat Mandhata by four wickets.

Mandhata made 166 (Pritesh Patel 43, Palwinder Kumar 4-52), TABS scoring 169-6 after tea (M Saleem 71,  Palwinder Kumar 40).

Omars, last year's runners-up, are still going strong, beating Parkside by six wickets.

Parkside were dismissed for 81, Chetan Patel taking 5-24, before Omars made 82-4.

Omars will now play Apperley Bridge, who beat Interlink by 13 runs.

Bridge were castled for 94 in 23 overs, with Zeeshan Bacha bagging 5-12, but Interlink could only make 81 in 29.1 overs, Salman Khawaja taking 5-21 and Mohammed Akif 4-22.

Cambing beat Bowling Baptists by 121 runs after making 260-7, with Mubashir Ahmed scoring 57 and Asif Gul 51 not out.

Bowling Baptists were all out for 139, with Zafar Iqbal taking 4-42.

Cambing will now face Hallfield, who beat Yorkshire Friends, after scoring 169 (Aseem Khan 65, Waseem Khan 4-13), by 31 runs.
