THIEVES have targeted primary schools in Ilkley, Addingham and Silsden, stealing iPads.
Ashlands Primary School, in Ilkley, Addingham Primary School and Hothfield Junior School in Silsden were targeted by thieves on Tuesday evening.
Mr Andrew Soutar, head teacher of Ashlands Primary School in Leeds Road said: "We did have a break in on Tuesday evening between 7.45pm and 8pm, so just in daylight. We had a number of iPads that were stolen and following us thieves targeted Addingham Primary School and Hothfield Junior school in Silsden.
"It is sad that people will target schools and steal from children. We hope that the Police will be able to find the thieves and possibly return the stolen goods. Thieves gained access to the school by breaking a staffroom window and went straight to the iPad trolley. The iPads were a gift from the Friends of Ashlands through their fundraising just two years ago."
