GHYLL Royd Pre-School hosted an exciting Teddy Bear Picnic in the woods at Ghyll Royd School in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
Children brought along their favourite teddy, mum and a packed lunch for a morning of outdoor fun. Accompanied by the original 1932 Henry and His Orchestra's rendition of The Teddy Bear Picnic the children played pass the parcel under a giant oak tree, tracked down lost teddies in the woods as part of a treasure hunt, enjoyed their favourite book in a woodland glade and took a parachute trip with their favourite bear.
Everyone enjoyed a picnic in the school ground with homemade cakes and refreshments for parents' and a homemade teddy cookie to take home for the children.
Mr David Martin, headteacher at Ghyll Royd School said: "Everyone had a fantastic morning. We were overwhelmed by the response and were delighted to have 36 children and 25 adults enjoying themselves in the school grounds."
