ALL seven participating bands in the Otley heat of a talent competition have reached the next round.
The Martin House Centre Stage judges were so impressed by the acts from Prince Henry’s Grammar that one of the next heats, for the first time in the event’s history, will feature groups from just one school. Taking place at the Belgrave Music Hall at 7pm on Tuesday the heat will include performances from: Acquiesce, Blyss, Encranium, Lewis Crossley & Harri Pitches, Osea, Porl Whos, and The Velveteens.
Area Leader for English at the school, Chris Smith, said: “The competition is something we value.”
The night was held at Otley Courthouse, supported by a £240 Otley Town Council grant, and raised nearly £1,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
If successful in the next rounds, the Otley bands will get to play at the final at the O2 Academy in Leeds in front of more than 1,000 people.
