Ilkley Dynamo 4 Shipley Town 1

DYNAMO'S impressive demolition of Shipley Town extended their Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division winning run to three matches

The visitors brought a strong squad, fresh from a notable League Cup quarter-final win last week over Premier Division leaders Yeadon Veterans.

Honours remained even during most of the first period with Dynamo taking the initiative by constructing some fluent coherent moves.

The endeavour of both Craig Bentham and Danny Kenna in midfield, helped towards ensuring Dynamo looked to exploit every opportunity.

A fine Captain's performance from Michel Bloom, at the heart of the home rearguard, gave the team a solid look as they continually upped the tempo.

Tom Higman led the line well and was rewarded with two early goals to put Dynamo 2-0 ahead.

The team remained in the ascendancy throughout, before Ross Wilson added a third and despite a solitary reply from Shipley, Phil Thomessen crowned another accomplished Dynamo performance by scoring his 31st goal of the season to make the final score 4-1.

Holders Dynamo visit Horsforth StMargaret's in a Wharfedale Triangle League Cup semi-final tie on Sunday.
