The emergency services were put on alert when a plane developed a technical problem on approach to Leeds Bradford airport.
The alarm was raised when the landing gear did not fully lower on the BE643 morning flight from Exeter shortly before midday on Monday.
All 35 passengers got off the plane safely, and now the airline Flybe is launching an investigation into the incident.
In a statement Flybe described the problem as "minor."
It said: "Prior to landing, the aircraft's landing gear did not fully lower and as is standard practice with such matters, the flight deck crew manually performed the procedure. The Captain informed passengers of the situation and at no time was there any concern or adverse reaction.
The aircraft landed safely and, following standard procedure, on arriving at Leeds Bradford, the captain switched off the engines, allowing ground staff to inspect the aircraft. The aircraft was then towed to the stand.
All 35 passengers disembarked without incident.
The safety of passengers remains our number one priority and we will be launching an investigation to understand the cause of the incident. "
