THE King’s Hall and Winter Garden will become the home of fine beers and ciders for two days starting tomorrow.

Ilkley Round Table is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for charity when it holds the Ilkley Beer Festival.

As in previous years there will be more than 100 beers and ciders available, totalling more than 18,000 pints across its three sessions.

Brewery bars will be set up including breweries Old Spot, Wharfedale, Ilkley, Goose Eye and Northern Monk.

Tickets were snapped up when they went on sale in December, but a limited number are expected to be available at the door at each of the three sessions on Friday 5:30pm to 11pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm and 5pm to 11pm.

Entertainment will be provided by Leeds Male Voice Choir on Saturday afternoon and Emley Brass Band on Friday and Saturday night. There will also be food provided by Ilkley-based butchers Lishman’s.

Ilkley Round Table supports local groups and charities through its fundraising activities.

Proceeds from previous years have been distributed to a number of clubs and organisations including Ilkley Rugby Club, 1st Ben Rhydding Scout Troop, Ilkley Stroke Club, Friends of the Kings Hall, Olicanian Cricket Club, Ilkley Town AFC, Grassroots Ilkley, Otley Riding for the Disabled, All Saints School, andYorkshire Air Ambulance.

Organisers are already calling on anyone interested in becoming a sponsor for the 2016 event to get in touch. Visit ilkleybeerfestival.org.uk after the 2015 festival.
