A WHARFEDALE MP has signed a Book of Commitment pledging to never let the lessons of the Holocaust be forgotten.

Last Tuesday, January 27, marked the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration and death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau – the site of the largest mass-murder, in a single place, in history.

MP Greg Mulholland (Lib Dem, Leeds North West), who visited the camp as an 18-year-old, joined other politicians in signing the Book of Commitment in the House of Commons on the day.

He said: “On Holocaust Memorial Day we share the memory of the millions who have been murdered in the Holocaust.

“The commemoration provides an opportunity for everyone to learn lessons from the Holocaust.”
