CHILDREN had an exciting morning when they learned about and handled rain forest mini-beasts.
David Cocks, central ranger for Yorkshire from Zoolab, visited Moorfield School in Ilkley last week, and brought with him snakes, a tarantula, giant millipedes, scorpions and a toad.
Zoolab run curriculum-based workshops which promote animal welfare and environmental awareness.
Moorfield School head teacher Jessica Crossley said: “It was a unique and fun learning experience for the children and they were fascinated to be able to get up close and handle some of them and learn all about their habitat.
