A COLOURFUL mosaic created to celebrate Otley’s history has been officially unveiled.
As this photograph shows, the town was battered by a sudden snowstorm just as the Otley Heritage Mosaic was displayed at Tittybottle Park last Thursday.
Designed by Frances Taylor, a director of the Big Hoo-Ha Co community arts group, the work was funded by a £4,950 grant from Otley Town Council’s Voice Your Choice scheme.
Pupils from Otley All Saints C of E Primary joined Frances, Town Mayor Councillor Nigel Gill (Lab, Manor) and town council leader Councillor John Eveleigh (Lab, Ashfield) for the riverside unveiling.
Councillor Gill, said: “This project was Frances’s brain-child, voted for by the residents through Voice Your Choice, and is the result of many people’s hard work.”
