JUDGES are putting innocent people at risk by allowing criminals back on the streets to commit heinous crimes when they should be locked up, an MP has said.
Shipley MP Philip Davies pointed to a report which said two rapes and one unlawful killing a week are committed by people on bail.
Speaking in the Commons he said: “The cycle of reoffending is not helped by the number of people who are released on bail rather than being remanded in custody.”
