A POP-UP fashion store will launch in Otley this weekend.

Local entrepreneur Kirsty Sharpe started up Closet Renaissance as a way of combining her love of fashion and getting a bargain.

The new business focuses on selling unworn or nearly new high-end or designer clothes, shoes and accessories — and giving a big portion of the proceeds back to those who have provided the items.

The first pop-up sale takes place at Otley’s Black Horse Hotel from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday.

Kirsty said: “My business is aimed at giving savvy shoppers an opportunity to buy good quality clothing at discount prices. Closet Renaissance is unique in that we give 60 per cent of the sale price back to the seller.

“I’m encouraging people to take the plunge and sort out their wardrobes — why not let those items they no longer wear or need make them some money?

“Having a pop-up shop like this is a great opportunity for me to road test my business. Once people understand what it is about I will consider committing to local premises.

“In the meantime I’m excited to be part of the pop-up shop adventure, and contributing to local small business in Otley.”
