Event is set to raise awareness on dementia
RAWDON Community Library will host a dementia information session next weekend.
The one-hour event, at 11am on Saturday, February 7, is part of the Alzheimer’s Society awareness-raising Dementia Friends programme.
Otley-based Dementia Friends champion Gwen Oates will lead the talk, to help people understand what living with dementia is like and then get involved by spreading the word themselves. The Alzheimer’s Society aims to have one million Dementia Friends by the end of this year.
