Thousands of pounds have been allocated to fund First World War commemorations in the Leeds City Council area.
The council's executive board has approved funding of £1000 per ward in the form of an additional MICE allocation - money which is given out by local councillors.
This week Adel and Wharfedale councillor Barry Anderson invited applications for a share of the funding, from Adel, Cookridge, Holt Park, Bramhope, Pool or Arthington
He said: "If you would like a small amount from this allocation please let me know and I will check with my two Ward colleagues as to whether they are happy to fund it from the money we have been allocated."
