The ballroom at the Craiglands Hotel, Ilkley, was crammed to capacity when children and adults from Ilkley’s Joze School of Performing Arts presented their annual Christmas Showcase.
The show was a real mix of music, from musicals such as Seussical the Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Whistle Down the Wind, to classics such as Pie Jesu and The Chorus Of The Hebrew Slaves from Verdi’s Nabucco. The 80-strong cast included Joze students, parents and helpers aged from four to 64.
Organiser and singing/drama teacher at the school, Mark Allan, said: “It was great to see so many people come and support the talented students in such a wonderful venue. We can’t wait to get stuck into our next one in the new year.”
