An Otley cyclist is celebrating emerging victorious from a gruelling Three Peaks challenge.
Delia Beddis was the fastest woman in this year's 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross, which saw competitors from across the UK cycling and climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Delia, a former St Mary's School, Menston, student who now works in London, obviously enjoyed being back nearer home as she completed the 38-mile race in just a shade over four hours.
The Beddis family had double cause for celebration as Delia's 64-year-old father, Terry, also finished the challenge last Sunday.
Her mother, Anne-Marie, speaking from the family home in Otley, said: “I'm very proud.”
The annual cyclo-cross consists of 20 miles of cross-country riding, 18 miles on the road, and 5,000ft of climbing.
