A Zumbathon in aid of Dogs for the Disabled has amazed organisers by raising more than £3,500.
And more donations are still coming in to the charity after the event, in Horsforth, on Father’s Day. Taking part in the Zumbathon, at St Mary’s Church Hall, were the friends of a local family who hold the charity close to their hearts.
The family, who have asked not to be named, have a son with a life-limiting condition. They hope the charity will be able to provide an assistance dog in the next few years for their child, who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy when he was three.
