AN OTLEY teenager is celebrating gaining a place at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
Catriona Baird, a Year 11 pupil at Prince Henry’s Grammar School, is following in some illustrious footsteps by joining the world-leading youth arts organisation.
Former National Youth Theatre students have included the likes of Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Orlando Bloom, Ben Kingsley and Hugh Bonneville.
Area Leader for Drama at Prince Henry’s, Yvonne Wittering, said: “We are so proud of Catriona.
“This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to her talent and hard work.
“It has been obvious in Drama at Prince Henry’s that she has a future in the theatre and we will continue to watch her career with interest through Sixth Form and beyond.”
