LOCAL wind orchestra, Phoenix Concert Band, returns to St Margaret’s Church in Ilkley on Saturday, March 23, 2019, with a loud and lively evening of music to see off the winter and warm everyone up for spring.
The programme includes Danzon No.2, Moment for Morricone, showcase piece Libertadores, plus tunes from stage musical Wicked, Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis and a touch of Irving Berlin for good measure.
Phoenix prides itself on providing exciting, varied and family-friendly concerts at a very affordable price – completely free for under 16s - and St Margaret’s Church is the perfect venue to experience a large wind orchestra in action.

Phoenix Concert Band is a large wind orchestra with players from Leeds, Ilkley and the wider West Yorkshire area, led by acclaimed Musical Director Keiron Anderson.
