OTLEY and Ilkley Choral Societies are putting on their ever -popular annual performance of Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30pm at Otley Parish Church.

This year the performance is being conducted by the choir’s energetic and enthusiastic guest conductor, Tom Newell.

Tom has been involved in rehearsing both choirs whilst their regular conductor is working in Beverley Hills, L A!

The choir is looking forward to telling the story of the birth of Christ through the wonderful chorus’ created by Handel, supported by four fabulous young soloists provided by the Royal Northern College of Music. Once again, the choir and soloists will be supported by the Yorkshire Chamber ensemble led by Sally Robinson, with harpsichord continuo played by the Otley choir accompanist, Robin Cook.

Tickets are £15 which includes a programme (children and students are free).
