YOU are invited to peek into the quirky world of artist Alfonsas Paulauskas in an exhibition of his work currently underway with the 'Gallery at the Artshop' on Hawksworth Street, Ilkley.
A spokesperson for Gallery at the Artshop said: “Observing life through a humorous and sometimes surreal point of view the collection of work is intended to reflect places and things that resonate with the artist.
“Oil paintings that evoke memories of the scene and carry with them an almost fairytale essence, they are both striking yet peaceful.”
Alfonsas lives in Addingham and has exhibited locally with the Ilkley Open Art Trail , St Margarets Hall Ilkley, and with Craven Arts in Skipton.
Many of his paintings are local scenes such as his home and garden, friends, models and scenes around him.
The exhibition runs until May 30.
