A BYGONE era of transport is captured in this evocative series of photographs.

All of the pictures are undated but clearly hark back to the early days of bus travel.

The images show vehicles and employees from the now defunct Yeadon Transport Company, which was based at Waterside Garage.

The photograph showing two male employees was taken on Bradford Road, White Cross. The driver was the aptly named W Driver the conductor was W Jackson. Guiseley tram terminus can be seen in the background.

The lone driver in one of the pictures is N Simpson. He is pictured at White Cross. His bus was on the Otley, White Cross, Baildon Bridge, Shipley route.

Driver C Moon is pictured with conductor E Brown in the image on the top left.

In the photograph, top right, the bus conductor was Kathy Gallagher, the driver Jack Morton. The photograph,bottom right shows driver W Jackson and conductor Ida Dobson.
