ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

APPERLEY ROAD APPERLEY BRIDGE BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (NO 760) ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District

Council by reason to enable water works proposed to be executed on or

near Apperley Road, Apperley Bridge, Bradford intends not less than seven

days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be

that no person shall proceed in the length of Apperley Road from its junction

with Harrogate Road to its junction with Apperley Lane.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to emergency vehicles

and vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried

out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be

available via Apperley Road (unaffected section), Hemingway Road, A657

Leeds Road / New Line, A658 Harrogate Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect between the hours of 09:00 until

17:00 on 30th October 2017 (although the closure can remain in force for up

to eighteen months if necessary).
