METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 42, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along:-
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along:-
Public Footpath 42, Ramsbottom - from Carr Street to the borough boundary with Rossendale
The reason for the proposed order is to enable electricity fault repairs to be carried out.
The alternative route will be Carr Street, Public Footpath 55 Ramsbottom, Helmshore Road, Public Footpath 53 Ramsbottom, Public Footpath 52 Rossendale and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 22 May 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 5 weeks. Dated 11 May 2017 Council Solicitor

Back Hornby Street East, Bury - between Birch Street and Back Argyle Street Back Walmersley Road West, Bury - between Birch Street and Monmouth Avenue The reason for the proposed order is to enable telecommunications/broadband works to be carried out.
The alternative route will be via adjacent local streets and will be signed on site. The Order comes into operation on Thursday 11 May 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 2 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 3 weeks.
