NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 151, BURY) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2019
On 16/06/20, the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury confirmed the above Order made on 09/07/19 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert footpath No 151 Bury with the diverted route starting at point A on the Order map and running in a northerly direction for 91 metres along a 2 metres wide bituminous macadam footway before turning south west at point B on the Order map for 44m along a 1.2 metres crushed stone path to point C on the Order map. The route then turns south for 79 metres along a 3 metres wide bituminous macadam path to terminate at point D on the Order map. The diversion is 214 metres in length. The Definitive Map and Statement for Bury is modified accordingly. Copies of the Order and Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Reception Desk, Town Hall, Knowsley Street, Bury, BL9 0SW during normal office hours.
This Order comes into force on 25/06/20 but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act as amended or any regulation made under it has been complied with in relation to confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 of the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within 6 weeks from 25/06720. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 3 ST MARY'S, RADCLTFFE) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along:-
Public Footpath 3 St Marys, Radcliffe between York St and Bury Rd The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate ground remediation works and construction of an emergency access.
The alternative route will be via York St, Hardys Gate Bridge, Dumers Ln, part of footpath 104BUR, Whitefield Rd, Keswick Dr, Kendal Dr & Bury Rd & vice versa The proposed Order will come into operation on 06/07/20 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 3 months.
