ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

BRIGGATE / OTLEY ROAD, SHIPLEY, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (NO 1220) ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of construction works proposed to be executed on or near Briggate / Otley Road, Shipley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed as follows:-

Otley Road - No person shall turn right into Commercial Street from Otley Road when travelling in a southerly direction

Briggate - No person shall turn right into Otley Road from Briggate when travelling in a westerly direction

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via the following diversions:-

Via Otley Road (unaffected section), Salts Mill Road, Victoria Street

Via Briggate (unaffected section), Commercial Street, Victoria Street,

Salts Mill Road

The proposed Order will come into effect from 19:00 hours until 21:00 hours each evening from 13th March 2020 until 15th March 2020 and continue in effect from 07:00 hours until 21:00 hours each day from 21st March 2020 until 22nd March 2020 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
