Burley Trojans U-14 Girls 2 Hebden Bridge Saints 2

A superb exhibition of girls’ 11-a-side football saw two evenly-matched teams sharing the points in this U-14 league match. Burley started well, but went behind after ten minutes when Hebden’s
right winger cut inside and lofted the ball over the ’keeper after being allowed far too much time and space by the Burley defence. This seemed to galvanise the Burley back four - Emma Horton,
Alice Simpson, Hannah McGurk and Laura Atkinson - who all defended very strongly for the rest of the half.
