Horbury Town 3 Ilkley Town 3

ILKLEY grabbed a precious West Yorkshire Premier League point with almost the last kick of the game after coming back from 3-1 down with only 15 minutes left.

The draw was well deserved with Town having most of the play over the 90 minutes.

Despite their subsequent dominance, Ilkley were caught cold defensively after only seven minutes.

Horbury found a player free ten yards out to smash home the first goal.

Ilkley levelled after 33 minutes when Adam Fowler flicked in a James Wilson long throw in.

Again Town were caught napping early in the second half when Horbury scored with a vicious dipping shot from just inside the area after two minutes.

Against the run of play a home forward beat the offside trap and lobbed keeper Alex Wormall in the 68th minute. Ilkley's appeals for a foul fell on deaf ears.

Town had changed their tactics on the day because of the sloping uneven pitch and they pull a goal back when Tim Edney netted from another Wilson long throw.

That set up the finale when two substitutes combined for the equaliser three minutes into added time.

Rich Schofield set up Jake Bullock to score and salvage a point.

Town are at home to Headingley on Saturday, kick off at 2.30.
