ADAM Fowler continued his good goalscoring form with a hat-trick as Ilkley Town eased into the next round of the West Yorkshire League Cup.

Wyke, who are fourth in Division One, competed well in a tight first half which saw Town go in at the break just 1-0 up.

Town got on top in the second half and added five further goals. Their scorers were Fowler (3), Ben Chadwick (2) and James Turland.

Town have another cup tie this Saturday when they play hosts to Harrogate League side Bramhope in the Wharfedale & District FA Cup.

ILKLEY'S reserves gained a much-needed victory in their West Yorkshire Alliance League Two derby at Otley.

Two penalties and an own goal helped them on their way to the three points.

Ilkley started the brighter and took the lead after ten minutes when a strong run by Matt Whitehead caused an Otley defender to turn his cross into the net for an own goal.

Ilkley had a scare when a break from Otley ended with a shot which came out off the inside of the post.

The lead was increased when Alex McPherson was up-ended by the goalkeeper in the area. Alan Stockdale converted. Despite Otley pressure at the start of the second half, Ilkley stood firm and sealed their win with a Connor Thompson spot kick.

Ilkley Town's Academy side scored four time in the second half to defeat bottom team Bradley Reserves 6-2 in the Craven League Division Three. Bradley battled hard an were on level terms at 2-2 at the break.
