Altofts Reserves 1 Ilkley Town Reserves 2
Ilkley got the better of their Wakefield hosts in a match-up between the only two unbeaten teams in West Yorkshire League Alliance Division Two.
A patched-up Ilkley side started brightly, with Tom Rennolds and Alex MacPherson providing early chances. Anthony Hart also had a penalty turned down after driving the ball into a defender's arm from close range.
Altofts responded by using their size advantage to pin Ilkley back, delivering sweeping crosses into the box, although the Ilkley keeper only had one save to make.
Altofts took the lead after the break when a lofted a ball the edge of the Ilkley box was misjudged and a home forward coolly slot under the keeper.
Ilkley responded straight away, with Smith and Stockdale going close before Smith was brought down in the box and the penalty was coolly despatched by Rennolds.
Both teams squandered half-chances before Stockdale rose with the keeper for a 50-50 ball and nodded home the winner.
