CHAMPIONS Dynamo lost an entertaining Premier Division opener to their old rivals.

A much-changed Dynamo team acquitted themselves well in the early exchanges.

Ross Wilson, making his debut, led the line well and helped to create some consistent early pressure.

The uncompromising defences held firm with the outstanding Sam Jacomb the pick of the Dynamo rearguard and Steve Middleton in command for the visitors.

A lively Dynamo promised plenty but lacked the killer touch. Both teams missed good chances as the game stagnated.

Some tough exchanges resulted in a couple of cautions for Yeadon and any shots on target were capably dealt with by Rob Powell in the Dynamo goal.

The trickery and energy of Danny Bryan helped Dynamo to create limited opportunities against a packed defence.

Craig Bentham, always composed on the ball, gave a fine captain’s performance but the game looked to be heading for a stalemate until the deadlock was broken in the 70th minute.

Danny Scatchard struck first for Yeadon quickly followed by another from Craig Nicholls to put the visitors 2-0 ahead.

This left Dynamo with an uphill task late in the game.

Although they fought hard, the team were left to rue squandering some eminently good scoring chances throughout the game.
