Idle United 1 Ilkley Dynamo 1

Dynamo took their run of unbeaten Premier League games to nine, with a gritty and uncompromising draw away at Idle United.

A goal from Luke Hudson, his third in three matches, gave Dynamo an early lead. Despite the team bustling with energy and pace, a second breakthrough proved difficult.

The home side gradually improved and soon equalised through Luke Bowers.

The game then became a stalemate as both sides looked for midfield superiority.

Although Dynamo produced a good defensive performance, with both Tom Higman and Liam Hudson particularly prominent, offensively, Dynamo did not produce enough. The game became a test of endurance with two sides limited with their attacking ideas and any genuine penetration.

Idle defended strongly, helped by some tough man to man marking and block tackles. For Dynamo, Danny Bryan and Danny Kenna battled hard without reward as the team had plenty of possession but lacked that vital finishing touch.

Both teams had opportunities before the visitors went close towards the end with Chris Holmes having very late claims for a penalty waved away. However, honours remained even, to leave Dynamo with ten Premier League games to play.
