GUISELEY Vixens do like to be beside the seaside – as their 5-2 win at Morecambe clearly showed!

After a lengthy lay-off, unbeaten Guiseley found themselves two goals down early on.

But two goals from Liv Thackray levelled it by the break and second-half goals from Chantelle O'Hara, Deb Hastings and substitute Emily Scott secured what was, in the end, a comfortable victory.

With leaders Chorley losing 4-2 at Hull City, their advantage over Guiseley is down to just one point. Hull's win keeps them level on points with Guiseley, in third place, but they have played three games more.

Brighouse Town had a 4-0 win over fellow strugglers Mossley Hill, lifting them out of the bottom two, and now face a tougher task at home to Chorley. Lauren Doyle, Demi Pringle, Charlotte Proud and Jodie Redgrave were the Town scorers.

While Guiseley are looking for Brighouse to do them a favour, in their promotion race, Brighouse are hoping for a reciprocal gesture when Guiseley go to Mossley Hill.

Farsley Celtic continued their march to the North East Regional League Southern Division title when scheduled visitors Malet Lambert conceded their game to give Farsley 11 wins from 11.

Tomorrow they go to Altofts knowing that another win would leave them needing only six points from their last six games to take the title.

Bradford Park Avenue disappointingly went down 1-0 at promotion-chasing Brighouse Athletic, Sarah Hemingway scoring. But with Ossett Town and Battyeford still languishing in the bottom two places, Avenue's Premier Division status looks secure.

Tomorrow, Avenue are at home, at Westwood Park, to current leaders Leeds Medics and Dentists.
