Saltaire 1 Ilkley Dynamo 4

Dynamo extended their unbeaten Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division record to 11 games with another comfortable victory.

It was the first meeting of the two sides this season and Dynamo were determined to continue their late climb up the table.

In a match which saw four penalties being awarded, one of which was expertly saved by the Dynamo goalkeeper, Shane Etherington, Dynamo produced another impressive away performance.

The team took its tally of league goals scored past the 50 mark, with a goal each from, Danny Kenna, Luke Hudson, Chris Holmes and Danny Bryan.

The versatile Tom Higman had to be withdrawn through injury and despite having a player dismissed late on for handball, the team re-organised and continued their relentless pressure on the home side.

Further chances were missed but three valuable points had ensured the Dynamo challenge to win the Wharfedale Triangle League title for the first time since 1981 was maintained.

The strong squad of players will be tested to the limit when they start a run of five matches within a 14-day period, commencing with a home encounter this Sunday against Bramley.

This is the first-ever league meeting between the two sides.

Last September Dynamo visited Bramley in the first round of the Senior League Cup and they just edged a 3-2 victory in a competitive and eventful game.
