Ilkley Dynamo 4 Otley Tavern 0

Dynamo completed another emphatic Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division home victory after the gradual demolition of an admirable Otley Tavern side.

The visitors belied their lowly league position with a strong, battling performance in a game that was badly affected by the blustery conditions.

The home side dominated the early exchanges and took a 15th minute lead with an expertly driven shot from Tom Higman.

They continued to move the ball swiftly across the pitch as Otley had to withstand some concerted pressure.

The quick passing movements, with Danny Bryan and Ollie Blair both prominent, helped Dynamo to keep control against a side that continued to compete vigorously.

After some incisive football, Danny Bott put Dynamo 2-0 in front with a powerful drive from the edge of the penalty area.

Quick movement resulted in the impressive Danny Kenna rounding the goalkeeper to put the home side 3-0 up.

Sam Jacomb went close twice for Dynamo before Kenna slid a shot past an advancing goalkeeper for the second time to make the final score 4-0.

The visitors continued to work hard against a Dynamo squad that has now climbed to third place ahead of a crucial Spring period which sees a scheduled run of eight fixtures in four weeks.
