Ilkley Dynamo 4 Barr Street 1

A strong second-half performance earned Dynamo a place in the second round of the West Riding FA Sunday Cup.

The visitors, from the Heavy Woollen League, were stunned when an accurate volley from the impressive Danny Bott gave the home side an ideal start.

Although Dynamo put Barr Street under pressure whenever they had possession, they could not find their recent form during the early stages of the game.

An outstanding strike from Josh Rodgers, direct from a free kick, made it 1-1 as the visitors hit back. However, another committed performance from Craig Bentham helped the Dynamo midfield to gradually impose themselves on the match.

After weaving his way forward, the ever- consistent Danny Bryan hit a smartly-taken goal to put Dynamo 2-1 ahead.

This helped to give them that vital domination and supremacy, despite some spirited efforts from Barr Street.

The battling Luke Hudson scored his third goal in three matches thanks to some sturdy work from Liam Blenkhorn to put Dynamo in full control at 3-1.

Strong penalty claims were turned down before a dazzling run by Danny Henderson made it four after he glided through the visitors defence to hit a low drive for his fifth goal of the season.
Shane Etherington, the Dynamo goalkeeper, also gave another competent performance to ensure that Dynamo achieved their fourth- successive victory.
